Counsellor and Chief Student Mentor of the Counselling & Coaching Centre.

He is also the Individual and Group Supervisor at SIM University, providing professional guidance on case conceptualization and reviewing the quality of the student’s documentation. Dan continues his service as a private practitioner providing individual, group counselling and case consultations. He was previously the external professional counsellor supporting the Pastoral Care Department at the Nanyang Institute of Management. Dan believes in leveraging and works collaboratively with other professions to provide the optimum and holistic supports for his clients.

Prior to this, Dan was also an Allied Educator (Counselling) with Ministry of Education. He was a member of the Care Team that supports the school management in handling crisis. His counselling expertise enables him to work closely with the management in planning and implementing a school-wide counselling system. In recognition of his contribution with the Ministry of Education, he was awarded with the Outstanding Award (Team Award) by the school. Additionally, Dan was also involved in school media social project that promotes parenting awareness and attained the SDMA Merit Award in 2011. Dan has been Registered Counsellor with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and a member with the American Counseling Association (ACA). He received advanced training on Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training in Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
