FION LAU

Behavioural therapist at Mind Culture. Currently Master of Counselling with Monash University. Graduated and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Wollongong (UOW), New South Wales, Australia. 

Upon graduation from UOW, Fion took on the role of a research assistant with the Research of Evidence-based Practice team at the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). She was involved in the data collection for the foster care system research project thus acquiring extensive research skills. As a student intern with Singapore Prison Service, she gained insights into criminal counseling. In addition, she also assisted in research projects involving preschool children and their socioemotional intelligence as an intern at Temasek Polytechnic. Representing Temasek Polytechnic, she and her team of researchers was given the opportunity to present their research paper to the Singapore Kindness Movement organization, and later on took part in the Student Research Award organized by the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and received the Gratitude Award. With the bountiful research experience, Fion is motivated to put those knowledge into practice.
