Desmond Lim


Desmond Lim is a psychotherapist, a wellness advocate and coach. He is a member of the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (APACS), a Ministry of Education registered instructor, an ACTA-certified trainer and a Psychological First Aider.

He graduated with a Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Positive Psychology and a Certificate in Family Therapy. He is trained in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (US), .b curriculum from the Mindfulness in Schools Project (UK) and Ericksonian hypnosis (US).

Mr Desmond Lim is presently a counsellor with Mind Culture and providing counselling services as part of the mental wellness and resilience programme for the staff in Jurong Community Hospital. He has also counselled youths-at-risk in schools and geriatrics in nursing homes. He has designed and conducted mindfulness and body-based therapy classes for many organisations and social service agencies such as Ng Teng Fong Hospital, Green Haven Halfway House, Breadtalk Group and the Civil Service Club. He currently volunteers with the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association as a counsellor.
